Our Annual Turf Fertilization and Weed Control program consists of 8 applications to treat your turf, including necessary fertilizers, pre and post-emergent weed control and lime for pH control. This also includes all necessary fungicide and insecticide treatments. Our visits are spaced every 6-8 weeks but should you need a visit in-between, we will service your property at no additional charge. We guarantee our results!

2024 Turf Treatment Plan

Application 1:
Pre-emergent applied to control seed germination and post-emergent applied for broadleaf weeds. (January/February)

Application 2:
A combination of post-emergent and pre-emergent herbicides for weed control. We are targeting early summer weeds that may be present as well as eliminating weed seed germination for mid to late summer weeds. (March/April)

Application 3:
Our long-term, slow release granular fertilizer that slowly releases nitrogen for the entire growing season. (April/May/June)

Application 4:
Insecticides for Grubs as well as Post-emergent weed control for any weeds present in the lawn with an emphasis on broadleaf weeds and grassy weeds in the nutsedge family. (May/June)

Application 5:
Any necessary Insecticides as well as targeted Post-emergent weed control for broadleaf weeds and grassy weeds. Common weeds we target during this time of year are Chamberbitter, Virginia Buttonweed, Doveweed, and Nustsedges. This is generally applied as a spot treatment unless there are too many weeds. Turf is sensitive to weed killers during this time of Summer, so we try to be as targeted as possible to keep from turf injury and discoloration (July/August)

Application 6:
Post-emergent weed control for any weeds present in the lawn. This is generally applied as a spot treatment unless there are too many weeds. Application 7:
Post-emergent and pre-emergent weed control. We are cleaning up any late summer and early fall weeds that may be present in the lawn, as well as applying the fall pre-emergent to control weed seed germination throughout the cool season. (September/October/November)

Application 8:
Lime application for pH level maintenance and adjustment. We are adding several micro-nutrients to the soil to enhance its health as well as maintain the proper pH level so our fertilizers work well during the growing season. (November/December)

Additional Services

  • Beds Program: Our Beds Fertilization and Weed Control program is designed to control weeds in all ornamental tree and shrub beds around your property. Our applications include pre and post-emergent weed control, as well as a season-long, controlled release fertilizer for the ornamental shrubs and trees. Note: fungicides and insecticides are not included in this program.
  • Mosquito Program: Our Mosquito program will protect against mosquitos, fleas and ticks. Treatment is applied every 3-4 weeks and visits are scheduled throughout the season between March and the end of October.
  • Fire Ant Program: Protect your yard from fire ants. The Fire Ant Program controls Fire Ants from January through December each year.
